Really? So pointing out the fact that some men don’t take lesbianism seriously and think it’s a shame that a pretty girl is a “waste” because she doesn’t want to date men makes ME a misandrist? It doesn’t make the guy who said this about me misogynistic? At all?
This might disappoint you. I actually got a lot of followers for that post. So, shove it.
watching anime is a chore all its own
Why Straight Pride is super gross and bigoted, and if you support if we can’t be friends
A presentation by me.
Since apparently some people don’t fucking get it.

stop wanting equality if you keep singling yourself out
"LOOK I’M GAY! I’M LESBIAN! I’M TRANS! I’M QUEER! LOOK! LOOOOOKK ATAAT MEEEEE!!!!!!!!"
shut the fuck up, no one cares unless they’re romantically pursuing you.
Gay? Cool, doesn’t make you any different from everyone else.
Trans? cool, doesn’t make you any special either.
We will not treat you differently if you do not act differently.
It’s like you didn’t even read the post at all. Just…just amazing.
First of all: visibility and solidarity are not “singling ourselves out.” We are often ALREADY singled out- bullied, marginalized, erased, if we DARE to come out of the closet.
Coming out of the closet- openly and proudly, is not some cry for attention, but an act of affirmation and empowerment, an act of self preservation and autonomy in the face of some very intense discrimination on a societal level.
What I find to be the MOST interesting comment here is your last one. “We will not treat you differently if you do not act differently.”
You see, Eric Liu in his book “Accidental Asian, Notes of a Native Speaker” talks about the concept of “Passing” and “Covering.” He describes a certain…middle ground between outright marginalization and actual acceptance- the demands to “pass” for normal. This idea is that minorities and those that are “othered” by our culture will only be treated well if we PRETEND that we aren’ different- if we “cover” our differences up and “pass” for “normal”. You can be different as long as you don’t ACT different.
That is a very shitty form of bigotry, because it is bigotry that masks itself as “reasonable.”
But listen up and listen well: if your treatment of other human beings is dependent on whether or not they “ACT DIFFERENT” then you are straight up, 100% a fucking bigot.
You’ve always been the strongest of the two of us. I just wish I could say I’m okay without you too.
If I'm going to just live taking someone else's place, then it'd be better if I could just be a pebble
